Job Title: Pre-drawing release activities (DFM + MFA) for Bumper & Instrument Panel parts

Job Location: Manesar / Kharkhoda / Gujarat/ Gurgaon

Education Required:

Diploma in Plastic Mould Technology or Mechanical Engineering

B.Tech in Plastic Technology or Mechanical Engineering

Experience Required:

Diploma: 5 - 9 Years

B.Tech: 4 - 5 Years

Job Responsibilities:

·        Pre-Drawing release activities for development of Bumper and Instrument panel parts:

o   Identify critical risks through Part Design Review & Mold Flow Analysis

o   Drive closure with design team focusing on DFM, gating, warpage, and manufacturability

·        Prepare mold specification sheets (gating, parting line, ejection, cooling concept) and validate mold designs.

·        Drive design optimization for improved moldability, cost, and robustness.

·        Implement cycle time reduction initiatives and minimize trial iterations through data-driven decisions

·        Define process parameters and molding strategy for first-time-right trials

·        Post Drawing release activities for development of Bumper and Instrument panel parts:

o   Correlate simulation, mold design, and actual trial results

o   Lead defect resolution (sink, warpage, weld line, short shot) with mold maker

·        Coordinate with part design team for data release, changes, and program milestones

·        Coordinate with mold makers for Tool development timeline, ECN implementation, cost control & SOP readiness.

·        Monitor tool progress, trial readiness, and commissioning support

·        Ensure machine selection & capacity planning (especially for >1000T machines)

·        Strong knowledge of mold trial defects and countermeasures

·        Understanding of plastic raw materials (PP, ABS, PC, Nylon, etc.) & their processing behavior

Competencies / Skills:

·        Proficiency in Unigraphics, Mold Flow software, MS Excel & MS Power Point.

·        Should have knowledge of plastic injection molding process and Mold manufacturing process.

·        Good problem-solving skills.

·        Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·        Past experience with Automobile OEMs for plastic part development (Bumper & Inst. Panel Molds is preferred).
