Transmission Design Engineer

Role - To design and develop automotive manual transmissions (gearbox)

Responsibilities -

• Transmission and drive-train packaging within vehicle architecture
• Design of gears, shafts, synchronizers, shift systems, differentials, and gearbox components
• 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings
• Designer CAE support and engineering analysis
• NVH investigation, testing support, and root-cause analysis
• Cross-functional coordination for project delivery

Competency Required

Technical-

• CAD proficiency (Unigraphics preferred)
• Designer CAE analysis (Unigraphics preferred)
• Gear design software such as Romax/KISSsoft
• Tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, FTA, project management

Behavioral -

• Self-driven and proactive
• Strong teamwork and networking skills
• Effective communication and presentation capability

Specific expertise -

• OEM automotive experience
• Good driving skills and vehicle evaluation understanding
