Dealer- Asset & Liability Management

Job Purpose
Day-to-day responsibility (with Head of Treasury oversight) for all the asset and liability function within USA treasury, ensuring the efficient and effective funding of the asset portfolio. Responsible as well for money market operations, FX trades, currency gap management, investment in securities and deposits with banks and other FIs, all in compliance with the regulatory framework and the local and global liquidity policies and in coordination with the Head of Treasury and Funding Centre in Head Office.

Key Result Areas
•    Ensure appropriate balance sheet management to enable local funding of USA asset book.
•    Ensure maximum profitability for the bank from ALM activities within specified risk parameters and local regulations to optimize profit.
•    Monitor the size, liquidity and ratios of the local balance sheet for balance sheet control
•    Monitor and manage, under direct supervision, all external/internal liquidity, currency and interest rate-related risk positions and ensure development of operating systems for existing/new products
•    Ensure adherence to dealing ethics and code of conduct
•    Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of MIS for the Head of Treasury, Country Head and HO requirements
•    Provide input to ALCO, working with Head of Treasury and Finance to correlate internal reporting.
•    Interact with counter parties — banks, financial institutions, brokers, etc
•    Ensure that the bank complies with the regulatory requirements in their relevant domain, including by adhering to the necessary policies and procedures in place.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•    Bachelor's degree, preferably with specialization in finance
•    Significant experience in treasury operations (10-12 years)
•    Knowledge of market risk analysis and fundamental economic data
•    Meticulous /time bound/ able to attend to multiple tasks in a time bound manner

Salary Range
•   $175,000 - $200,000
