MASS MoCA’s gift shop is seeking a part-time Sales Associate. The Sales Associate will report to the Gift Shop's Manager & Buyer, and work closely with other retail staff. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills as well as self-motivation, basic math, and careful attention to detail. The MASS MoCA gift shop is a key part of the visitor services experience and operates as a source of information to visitors beyond the range of products offered.

Schedule:
2-3 days/week, Saturday and Sunday availability required Responsibilities of a Retail Sales Associate include but are not limited to: Cheerfully greeting customers and providing suggestions and product information. Cleaning store fixtures and maintaining attractive merchandise displays. Opening and closing the store and operating the POS system and cash drawer. Organizing overstock and replenishing store displays as needed.
Organizing and affixing price tags to new incoming shipments of products. Taking initiative to learn about the history of MASS MoCA and the current and past exhibitions and performances in order to answer customer questions.
