The Management Development Program Associate is an entry-level leadership development role
designed to prepare high-potential team members for future management positions within the Lifting
Centers. They will receive hands-on training and practical experience across all core business functions,
including inspections, service, repairs, sales, customer service, coordination, scheduling, and fall
protection training.
Upon successful completion of the program, the Management Development Program Associate will have
foundational experience in:
- Lifting, rigging, and crane inspections, repairs, and service coordination
- Below-the-hook lifting and fall protection equipment
- Sales and customer relationship management
- Safe, efficient Lifting Center Operations
- Leadership and management readiness
Job Duties:
- Learn and support crane, fall protection and rigging inspections, including documentation, identification of damaged equipment, and customer communication
- Develop working knowledge of below-the-hook lifting devices, rigging hardware, wire rope, chain, synthetic slings, hoists, and related lifting equipment
- Participate in fall protection training and learn to support customer education on proper equipment selection, use, inspection, care, and storage
- Gain exposure to crane systems, including crane components, inspection requirements, service needs, and customer applications
- Support crane service activities, including work coordination, service documentation, and communication with customers and technicians
- Learn processes related to rigging repairs, including intake, assessment, repair coordination, quality checks, and final customer delivery
- Build technical product knowledge involving rigging, cranes, below-the-hook equipment, and fall protection solutions
- Assist the sales team with customer inquiries, product recommendations, quotations, order follow up, and relationship development
- Provide professional customer service by responding to requests accurately, promptly, and courteously
- Support order processing, service coordination, job tracking, inventory awareness, and administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist with scheduling inspections, training, repairs, deliveries, service work, and customer appointments
- Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, customer information, work orders, and scheduling details
- Complete assigned training, demonstrations, job rotations, and development milestones
Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety guidelines - Committing to Lifelong Learning by completing all assigned learning and seeking opportunities to improve self

Safety:
- Demonstrate care and concern for all team members
- Understand and lead the execution of Mazzella safety programs and training for team members and stakeholders
- Make safety a daily point of emphasis and regularly communicate as much with your teams
- Report all injuries, incidents and near hits immediately and investigate to identify root cause and corrective actions
- Keep yourself and others safe by identifying hazards and implementing control measures to eliminate/reduce risk
- Contact Director of Safety upon being contacted by any official of a regulatory agency such as
OSHA, EPA, etc.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline is preferred. In the absence of a degree, directly related education, training, certifications, and professional experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position may be considered, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.
- Interest in developing a career in operations, service management, sales management, or lifting and safety equipment management
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical products and services
- Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate multiple activities, and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees across sales, service, operations, and administrative functions
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning business software, scheduling tools, and inspection documentation systems
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and in warehouse, shop, customer-site, and office environments
