Job Overview:
This role is part of the US DBA Team responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of SQL Server, Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and enterprise data platforms.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform database administration including installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, SOX compliance, audits, backups, recovery, patching, and upgrades for on-premises and Azure SQL environments
- Manage Development, Test, QA, and Production databases and implement enhancements to meet business needs
- Monitor database health, availability, capacity, reliability, and performance
- Configure and support Always On, clustering, replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Execute database changes through established change management processes
- Support database schema design, migration, data conversion, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and business users to resolve database-related issues
- Administer and support Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, and security
- Design, develop, and support data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes using Fabric
- Support Fabric deployments and promotions across environments
- Administer gateways, datasets, workspaces, refresh schedules, and security
- Support enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics solutions, and data governance
- Support AI initiatives and use modern AI tools for innovation and productivity
- Participate in data modernization, cloud migration, and analytics projects
- Provide after-hours support and maintenance as required
