Amerex - 27 Set Up Technician

The Setup Technician will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to investigate and correct various issues with the lines in the PEX department.

• Utilize hand tools or machines to investigate, disassemble and assemble parts.
• Come in before the production shift starts to prepare the lines for the day.
• Ensure the line is operating efficiently by reading faults and correcting them quickly.
• Fast thinking to recognize problems and fix them as quickly as possible.
• Communicate with others when a problem is more than their ability.
• Walk at a brisk pace for most of the day.
• Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Be trained in other department technician roles, to be able to fill in if another department needs a technician.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company work and safety rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity - the ability to precisely assemble parts/assemblies on fast paced production line.
• Comprehend and follow blueprints, work instructions, EHS, and job procedures, Job Safety Analysis, and applicable paperwork.
• Communicate efficiently with team members.
• Perform other duties as required.
