Cardiology Clinical Lead Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Annapolis

About this Job MedStar Health is pleased to announce an Advance Practice Provider opening in our established cardiology practice at Cardiology Associates-Annapolis, Maryland.   In this role, the Lead APP provides direct oversight of APP scheduling, workload distribution, and staffing, while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. They serve as a clinical expert and mentor, providing education, feedback, and coaching to support APP growth and performance.

The Lead APP also acts as a liaison between APPs, cardiologists, nursing, and Cardiology Associates/MedStar Health  leadership members to ensure seamless patient care and communication among team members.    This position maintains an active clinical practice, performing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing patient care. The Lead APP partners closely with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical quality and process improvement initiatives within the cardiology program.   As the Lead Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider, the work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00a – 4:30p.  There is no call requirement for this role.   

Qualifications:

(Required) Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  program 1-2 years of advance clinical practice experience Certified by National Credentialing body in respective area of specialty ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days Requires a high level of problem solving due to the complexity of the clinical situations encountered Excellent verbal and written communication skills   At MedStar Health, we are dedicated to advancing excellence in cardiology while fostering the professional growth of our providers.
