    A Day in the Life

    As one of three comprehensive portfolios within Neuroscience, Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) develops and delivers spinal implants, navigation and robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and procedural planning technologies used in spine and cranial procedures. The team partners across design, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, quality, and operations to advance products from early development through commercialization.

    This position supports Product Development Operations within CST and is responsible for operational planning and execution across new and sustaining product programs. This position is based in Memphis, Tennessee, follows an on-site work arrangement, and will require periodic travel to strengthen cross-functional collaboration, support development activities, and drive program execution.

    This role leads operations activities within product development programs, ensuring alignment across manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, quality, and engineering functions. The position is responsible for operational planning, schedule management, commercialization readiness, and execution of key deliverables from technology development through market release.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Lead operations activities and deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle from technology development through commercial launch.
    • Drive manufacturing and supply chain schedule risk management activities and execute mitigation plans to maintain program milestones.
    • Define, monitor, and achieve New Product Introduction (NPI) operational objectives, including cost, cycle time, capacity, yield, and process performance metrics.
    • Lead cross-functional teams across Design, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Contract Manufacturing partners.
    • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, operational plans, budgets, status updates, and execution strategies.
    • Coordinate development builds, launch builds, capacity planning, and commercialization readiness activities.
    • Ensure compliance with Quality Systems, Design History File documentation, and regulatory submission requirements supporting product development programs.
    • Drive manufacturing strategy, sourcing strategy, business continuity planning, and Design for Reliability and Manufacturing (DRM) execution.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in project management, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, engineering, or new product development.
    • Experience leading cross-functional projects or programs in a regulated manufacturing or product development environment.
    • Experience developing and managing project schedules, operational plans, and program deliverables.
    • Experience coordinating manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, quality, or engineering stakeholders.
    • Experience using project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
    • Experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or other regulated industries.
    • Experience with manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, contract manufacturing, or supplier management.
    • Experience with quality systems, design controls, product development documentation, or regulatory compliance.
    • Experience with commercialization readiness, launch planning, capacity planning, or continuous improvement methodologies.

    For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$91,200.00 - $136,800.00
    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information applies solely to candidates hired within the United States (local-market compensation and benefits will apply to others).

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
