Summary:
Must have at least one (1) year of hospital ministry experience.Responsibilities:
Maintains day-to-day schedule of pastoral care rounding on patients according to need and house census.
Performs rituals and sacramental rites according to patient/family need or request.
Attends clinical and interdisciplinary team meetings, working alongside medical and support staff as a direct care provider.
Attends emergency codes and critical events as needed or requested.
Provides on-call chaplain coverage (nights/weekends) according to need or established schedule.
Leads public services as well as spiritual support groups as needed or requested.
Assists with various administrative tasks supporting the spiritual care program of a given hospital campus.
Provides spiritual services to patients and families across multiple hospital departments (Adult & Pediatric) using a Patient and Family Centered approach.
Assesses and attends to spiritual needs of patients, family and staff, accommodating varied faith traditions and customs.

Works effectively in stressful and crisis situations, giving particular attention to the support of and communication with clinical staff. Required Work Experience: Must have, at least, one (1) year work, volunteer, or community service experience in ministry. Hospital experience and bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
