What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting plant engineering projects that improve safety, reliability, efficiency, quality, and overall operations. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside engineers, technicians, and operations teams in both office and manufacturing environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting capital projects from concept development through installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Collecting and analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Creating and updating equipment layouts, process flow diagrams, scopes of work, schedules, and other project documentation.
- Collaborating with engineers, maintenance teams, contractors, vendors, and plant personnel to execute projects successfully.
- Participating in equipment inspections, field measurements, installation oversight, and start-up activities.
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gather data and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD or other technical software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments while adhering to all safety requirements.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training, vendor visits, or project support.
