    Job description

    Full-Time / Exempt / Pay based on experience

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for updating logs and data entry of transactions such as accounts payable, fixed assets, and journal entries, supporting the business transactions that result in an accurate general ledger system.

    What you'll do:

    • Update financial records and prepare reports to support the functions of the Finance department.
    • Manage daily cash activity and reconciliation of all corporate checking accounts.
    • Responsible for tracking and maintaining prepaids and fixed asset logs, including construction in progress and project tracking.
    • Reconcile corporate credit card payments and expenses.
    • Process ACH receipts and payments.
    • Provide support to the Finance team in any log work required to complete a timely month-end closing process.
    • Assist with reconciling subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, as needed.
    • Provide support as needed for annual and periodic audits conducted by external auditors.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, required
    • Minimum of 1-year finance experience required.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and the ability to implement and manage the chart of accounts for financial reports and auditing purposes required.
    • The ability to strategically plan, prioritize, organize, implement, and delegate, along with a high degree of accuracy and integrity required.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel, preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups and organizational levels required.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), desirable, or the ability to receive a CPA license.

    Shift:

    • Monday - Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm
    • Full-time, Exempt
