There is currently an opening for a Casual Nutrition Services Aide (with cross training to Nutrition Services Tech) with a flexible schedule and ability to fill in on any shift with very little notice. The hours will vary depending on the need to include first or second shift, weekends and holidays. This position reports to the Executive Chef.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Food service experience desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares food items for cafeteria, patients and catering functions.
- Prepares and sets up tray line and transports carts to and from nursing units.
- Helps with serving of meals; operates cash register, keeps cash records and meal counts.
- Washes and sanitizes all dishes, carts, pots and pans in kitchen and cafeteria.
- Unpacks, dates, stocks, and rotates food and supply deliveries in work areas, floor kitchenette, cafeteria and tray assembly line as assigned.
- Checks and records temperatures of food and equipment to assure correct temperatures.
- Must be willing to learn other department related functions as needed.
