Status: Casual hours will vary depending on the need; per biweekly pay period

This position requires a flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends and occasional holidays. Applicant must be willing and able to work both day and night shifts. The shift length will depend upon need but most shifts will be 12 hours. This position reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Current Ohio Limited Permit.
- Current BLS certification.
- Proof of enrollment in good standing with CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program.

- Demonstrates effective communication skills in dealing with physicians, co-workers, patients and families.
- Demonstrates basic clinical skills in the assessment and delivery of care for patients of all ages.
- Ability to demonstrate competencies with applicable policies and procedures as outlined in the orientation packet.
- Demonstrates the ability to work and prioritize appropriately in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates consistent utilization of techniques and practices that create a safe environment of care.
- Promotes cardiopulmonary disease prevention, education and wellness.
- Demonstrates competence in a variety of work settings including: ICU,OB, ER, pediatrics and adult acute care therapy.
- Demonstrates knowledge of current medications utilized in the treatment of pulmonary disease.
- Demonstrates proper technique when obtaining ABG’s and EKG’s and shows basic interpretation skills of results.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrates strong computer and keyboarding skills.
- Demonstrates the willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to assist with the implementation of BLS and Rapid Response protocols.
- Assist with committees, special projects and monitors per direction of management.
