Shift: 6:30pm – 7:00am
Status: Full-Time; 4 x 12-hour weekend shifts per biweekly pay period

This position will alternate between Friday, Saturday, and Sundays but will work 4 shifts per pay. This position will only work the holiday if it falls on a weekend, unless mutually agreed upon with the manager. Weekend warriors are not eligible for Birthday Holiday. Employee will receive Full-time benefits. This position will report to the Director of ER.
Experience/Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/College of Nursing.
· Current Ohio RN licensure.
· CPR/BLS required within 90 days.
· ACLS certification required
· PALS certification required
· NRP certification required within 1 year.
· TNCC certification preferred but will be required within 2 years of hire.
· Minimum of 1 year of ER experience is required.
· Must be well-versed and understand the triage process.
· Training in IV ultrasound placement is a plus.

Responsibilities:
· Responsible for delivery of patient care through the use of the nursing process, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
· Primary focus is care of Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, Pediatric, and ICU patients as applicable.
· Demonstrates basic clinical skills in the assessment and delivery of care for patients of all ages.
· Demonstrates excellence in multisystem assessments, clinical performance, and critical thinking.
· Works closely with patients and families, often one-on-one with teaching.
· Knowledge to assist with invasive procedures.
· Use of monitoring equipment and the analyzation and interpretation of data.
· Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to implement ACLS protocols and functions independently in critical and emergency situations.
· Ability to appropriately delegate to unlicensed personal and oversee the care they provide.
Skill/Ability:
· Individual is self-motivated with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and functions as a team player.
· Must demonstrate effective communication and maintain professional composure in emergency situations with individuals of all ages.
· Must be able to demonstrate compassion with patients and families in crisis situations.
· Basic clinical skills in assessment and delivery of care for patients of all ages.
· Ability to think critically including interpretation, analysis, and evaluation.
· Positive service oriented interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
· Computer and keyboarding skills.
· Provide patient teaching and collaborate with other health care disciplines to provide quality care.
· Ability to demonstrate competencies in ED policies and procedures as outlined in the ED Orientation Program prior to the completion of orientation.
· Occasionally, lifts and carries weights up to 50 pounds.
· Performs other duties as assigned in the Emergency Department and/or as needed.
