Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY: ? As a material handler the main responsibility will include but are not limited to loading the truck when they arrive, this position must have the ability to support preparing the material with carboard, wood and re-strapping the pallets to secure the material. You'll also need to learn how to ubicate our materials in the warehouses to support picking up orders for the next day as needed. ?

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a forklift loading and unloading flatbed
• Perform and sustain equipment daily inspections (if assigned). Forklifts, banding machines, banding carts, etc.
• Prepping products to meet the safety loading guidelines.
• Housekeeping in areas assigned
• Assist and participate in Physical Inventory as needed.
• Perform material handling activities such as counting, banding and labeling product as needed.
• Manipulate and maintain all power tools needed to perform their daily task such as banding machines, banding cart, etc.
• Repair fabric rolls as needed and indicated by production.
• Assist Housekeeping in other department areas as needed.
