Systems Analyst – Children and Family Services

Position Status: Full time (40 hours/week), Permanent
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, and working collaboratively with the IT Manager, the Systems Analyst is committed to enhancing the Children and Family Services (CFS) Department data management and systems processes to best serve Métis Albertans. The Systems Analyst will ensure new software and systems are successfully integrated into the Children and Family Services Department’s operations by managing installation, customization, training, and troubleshooting to meet specific department objectives. This role will act as a liaison between technical teams and end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of new technologies and optimize current technologies. This role requires experience with system installation and configuration, user training, and project and change management. The successful candidate will have some knowledge of Children’s Services processes, a good understanding of Métis culture and values, and possess excellent analytical, communication, and relationship building skills.
Note: The Otipemisiwak Métis Government IT team will maintain general oversight of systems operations and data management. The Systems Analyst will be focused on implementation and optimal use of software specific to the CFS department, due to the scope of work and rapidly growing needs of the department. The parties will be required to work together to streamline services and ensure shared knowledge.
