This Part-time CDL class A and backup Box Truck Driver position transports different types of goods from distribution centers to Cross Docks using a Tractor Trailer and filling in for our box truck drivers.
Pay and Schedule:
- $25.00 per hour
- Monday through Friday
- Approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Start and end times may vary based on route, workload, and coverage needs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safely transport and deliver freight in a timely, efficient, and legal manner
- Hook and unhook trailers, secure freight, and install/remove tire chains as needed
- Load and unload freight, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials
- Complete required paperwork and maintain DOT-compliant records
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections
- Report maintenance needs and equipment defects promptly
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Represent Meyer and the transportation industry in a professional manner
- Load and unload trucks using forklift and manlift
- Heavy lifting of 75+lbs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (vehicles over 26,000 lbs.)
- Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements, including drug and alcohol screening
- Acceptable background investigation results
- Ability and willingness to operate a forklift
