The Warehouse Associate is an entry-level craft position responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, moving, stocking, picking, packing, processing, and loading orders. This position performs routine warehouse tasks under direct supervision, follows established safety procedures, and refers more complex issues to a lead, supervisor, or manager.
Salary: $20 - $23 Hourly | DOE
Primary Duties:
- Receives, moves, stocks, picks, packs, processes, and loads warehouse merchandise and customer orders.
- Completes basic shipping, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment activities according to established procedures.
- Assists with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory level maintenance as directed.
- Operates warehouse tools and equipment as trained and authorized to safely complete assigned tasks.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area and follows all warehouse safety regulations and company procedures.
- Works as part of a team to meet daily warehouse, shipping, and service requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; requires 0 to 2 years of related warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience.
- Performs routine work under direct supervision and is expected to learn established warehouse procedures, safety practices, and basic inventory processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Beginning to working knowledge of basic warehouse, shipping, receiving, stocking, packing, and inventory procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to lift, move, stock, and handle warehouse materials and merchandise safely.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic time management skills with the ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Basic attention to detail to support accurate order processing, labeling, packing, inventory counts, and stocking activities.
- Ability to ask questions, seek guidance, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to maintain a positive service-oriented attitude.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The essential functions of this position will require the employee to perform the following physical activities:
- Frequent use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional bending or reaching.
- Primarily office-based, temperature-controlled environment with moderate noise.
- Up to 30% of travel may be required by air or automobile.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
