RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT WORKER

Hours of Work: 7.25 hours per day
Classification and Salary: SP3 $31.83- $42.02 SP4 $35.11 - $49.89 per hour.
Location : Brandon, MB. Must be able to travel.
Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, the Resource Development Worker is responsible for the development of resources for families and children. The position will be responsible for developing and supporting a range of resources that include identifying residential resource needs, alternative care options, individual and group programming and support services to children and families both at home, as well as in care.
Main areas of Key Responsibilities and Activities
Conduct gap analysis of continuum of care for residential services
Recommends planning changes for existing residential/kinship resources and identifies solutions to address needs of children, youth, and families based on the best practices and evidence available
Complete all administrative and reporting requirements

Prior to commencing employment the successful applicant will be asked to provide satisfactory results of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check, Prior Contact Check, proof of $2 million dollar insurance liability, and a Driver’s Abstract upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel is required.
