    Job description

Local CDL Roll-Off Driver – Compactor Division

    Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment (MATE)
    Location: Clinton, MD

If you’re an experienced Roll-Off Driver looking for a local opportunity where your experience matters, we’d like to meet you.

At Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment, our drivers play a key role in keeping our operations running. This is a local, Monday-Friday position with deliveries primarily within a two-hour radius of Clinton, MD, so you'll be home every night. Our typical schedule is 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, with occasional overtime to complete customer deliveries or installations.

You'll spend about half your time driving and the other half loading and securing equipment, staging deliveries, assisting with installations, moving equipment throughout the yard, and supporting the team as needed. If you enjoy staying active and take pride in delivering quality work, you'll fit right in at Team MATE.

    Why Join Team MATE?

    • Two weeks of PTO during your first year
    • $200 annual boot allowance
    • Employee Assistance Program
    • Employee Referral Program
    • Company uniforms and company phone provided

    What You'll Do

    • Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including roll-off trucks, and container handler trucks.
    • Transport compactors, containers, municipal equipment, steel materials, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to customer locations.
    • Load, stage, secure, and organize equipment for safe transport using chains, binders, ratchet straps, and other DOT-compliant tie-downs.
    • Assist with equipment deliveries, off-loading, positioning, and compactor installations at customer sites.
    • Make multiple deliveries and pickups throughout the day as business needs require.
    • Haul scrap metal and other materials to recycling and disposal facilities.
    • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage equipment throughout the yard.
    • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections while maintaining DOT compliance.
    • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard.
    • Work closely with the Compactor team to ensure equipment is delivered safely, on time, and ready for installation.
    • Support the team with additional operational tasks as needed.

    What We're Looking For

    • Valid Class A or B CDL without automatic-only restriction (required)
      • Must be able to operate a manual transmission
    • At least 3 years of Roll-Off truck driving experience hauling equipment or heavy loads
    • Current DOT Medical Card
    • Experience safely securing heavy equipment and oversized loads
    • Experience operating tractor trailers, roll-off trucks, or similar commercial equipment
    • Forklift experience preferred
    • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day
    • Professional, dependable, and customer-focused
    • Willing to assist with physical work outside of driving, including deliveries, installations, yard support, and equipment staging
    • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday
    • Willingness to work occasional overtime when customer installations or business needs require it
