Basic Description:
This position will make decisions regarding customers, business, and employee needs. The individual must have strong decision-making skills and a positive attitude with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Team decisions that will result in the best quality, cost, and delivery.
- Facilitation/driving of E.I. (Employee Involvement) and problem solving.
- Driving team and business goals.
- Coordinating manpower, and vacation coverage to meet production needs.
- Monitoring all policies and ensuring adherence to include but not limited to: attendance, breaks, and identification of problem patterns.
- Monitor and drive efficiencies.
- Provide constructive feedback to management.
- Provide reliable, fair and unbiased feedback for employee evaluations
- Involvement in new employee training and cross training.
- Other tasks/functions as deemed necessary by PC and/or Operations Director.
- Team lead responsibilities are in addition to production responsibilities and the time spent each day will vary based on workload and team needs.
- Manufacturing documentation completion as required in each center of excellence.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or in pursuit of Associates degree preferred with desire to advance into higher level management levels.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of the centers of excellence.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and coach a group of team members to achieve company, business, and team goals.
- Successful record of building positive relationships with co-workers and management.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills. Successful with being in front of a group and communicating business information.
- Self-Accountable, Self-Disciplined, and reliable nature.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Previous on the job training experience.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Promote and model safety and quality.
- MRD experience and material ordering preferred.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and bills of material.
- Good manual dexterity required.
- Overtime may be required, including weekends.
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day and lift up to 50lbs.
