    $79,866 - $114,569 annually

    Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is seeking a talented Registered Nurse with significant experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing to serve as the Director of Nursing. This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead a dedicated nursing staff. Join our team as a State of Minnesota employee!

    Operated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), AMRTC is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. Located just north of the Twin Cities metro area, this modern, 100-bed facility offers person-centered adult mental health care in a pleasant environment enjoyed by patients and employees alike.

    Responsibilities:
    As the Director of Nursing, you will develop facility-wide patient care programs, policies and procedures ensuring quality patient care that is compassionate, culturally competent, cost-effective, and efficient. You will oversee the implementation for the facility’s plan for providing treatment to in-patient treatment units including services provided by the Bed Management, Control Desk, Nursing Education and Infection Control Office. In addition, you will also participate in decision making with leaders from executive and clinical areas in the facility, developing and implementing an effective ongoing program to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of care delivered to patients.

    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
    • Master’s degree in nursing or advanced practice certification.
    • Three (3) years of progressive supervisory experience in a large healthcare setting

    The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is a cabinet level state agency dedicated to serving Veterans and their families by assisting them in securing state and federal benefits. MDVA has two major divisions each headed by a Deputy Commissioner who reports to the MDVA Commissioner. The Veteran’s Healthcare Division operates five (5) Veterans Homes located throughout the State and is responsible to provide quality care services for Veterans and qualified spouses. The Homes offer a wide continuum of care, including domiciliary, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, dementia/Alzheimer, and an Adult Day Care program. Each Home is managed by a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. The MDVA operates on a biennial budget cycle which consists of State general funds, Federal Funds, miscellaneous revenues and donations. The Healthcare Division’s biennial budget is $193 million; it employs about 1300 staff working throughout the State. This position is located at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings.
