As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be the first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and support the implementation of division initiatives. In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will manage and develop staff nurses through real-time feedback and coordinated training, and collaborate with the DON, ADON, and Vice President of Clinical Services to provide exceptional clinical, physical, and emotional health services for our residents.
Supervisory and leadership experience is preferred.

As a Nursing Supervisor, You Will:
- Maintain knowledge of Misericordia's philosophy, purpose, services, and policies and procedures, and take part in their development and implementation
- In alignment with the ADON, DON, and VP, evaluate and develop strategies and plans for ongoing departmental success
- Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care within residences/facility
- Support the clinical team (RNs and CNAs) and ensure standards of practice and clinical policies are consistent with the profession and the community
- Act as first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and assume resident assignment when needed
- Make recommendations to improve workflow and act as a catalyst for policy, procedural, and resident care changes that safeguard safety, security, and confidentiality
- Develop staff for clinical competence and serve as a resource for clinical issues and problem resolution
- Implement changes impacting personnel, processes, and procedures to meet organizational goals
- Assist the ADON/DON with quarterly IDPs and performance management
- Support staff completing orientation in collaboration with consistent preceptor assignments
- Support facilitation, translation, and education of EMR and technological tools in resident care workflows
- Promote and monitor compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist nursing leadership in maintaining continuous readiness for surveys
- Facilitate chart audits focused on problematic and regulatory required areas of documentation
- Participate in admissions and annual resident multidisciplinary meetings as applicable
- Promote collaboration, teamwork, and morale among the clinical team
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe environment
- Maintain open communication and effective partnerships with other departments, including residential, vocational, social service, business office, maintenance, housekeeping, personnel, and consultants
- Serve as a role model, connecting employees to the values, culture, and mission of Misericordia
- Strategically involve others in goal setting and planning to promote alignment across the organization

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or Associate's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program with official transcripts
- Current Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, or current Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- 3-5 years RN experience or 2-3 years LPN experience
- Experience in IDD, developmental disabilities, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Leadership skills and/or management experience, including project management, training, or mentoring staff
- Experience taking initiative and responsibility, with a high degree of professionalism and ownership
- Proven ability to work as a team member
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of EHR
- Basic computer skills
Pay
- Nursing Supervisor: $39.00-$47.50 per hour
