At Misericordia, the Residential Supervisor – Behavior Supports does much more than oversee a schedule. You provide leadership, coaching, and coordination related to behavior support services in your assigned residential areas, serving as a primary resource for behavior support implementation, staff training, and crisis response.

You will work closely with BCBAs, QIDPs, nursing, programming staff, Behavior Support Specialists (BSS), and administration to promote a safe, therapeutic, person-centered environment. Through consistent implementation of behavior support plans, evidence-based interventions, and positive behavior support strategies, you will help protect resident dignity, safety, engagement, and quality of life.

Behavior care credentials are strongly preferred. Previous experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required.

As a Residential Supervisor – Behavior Supports, You Will:

Provide leadership, oversight, coaching, and coordination of behavioral support services within assigned residential areas
Serve as a primary support and resource for behavior support implementation
Oversee Besser and two future low census RP homes
Ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans, evidence-based interventions, and positive behavior support strategies
Train, coach, and support staff in behavioral programming and hold staff accountable for its implementation
Respond to and provide direction during crisis situations
Collaborate with BCBAs, QIDPs, nursing, programming staff, Behavior Support Specialists (BSS), and administration
Promote a safe, therapeutic, person-centered environment
Protect resident dignity, safety, engagement, and quality of life
Maintain accurate documentation related to behavioral programming
Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and other professionals
Solve problems and adapt approaches based on residents' changing needs

You will work with experienced professionals across Misericordia while gaining hands-on experience supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including those with behavioral support needs.

What We're Looking For

Behavior care credentialing strongly preferred: RBT, BCaBA, BCBA, Illinois Behavior Analyst, or other Behavior Health Specialist credentials
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals with behavioral support needs
Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of positive behavior supports, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and person-centered practices
Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in high-stress or crisis situations
Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Pay

Base Pay

$27 per hour

Schedule

AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
PM Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
