At Misericordia, Seasonal Bakery Packaging Assistants play an important role during our busiest time of year. This temporary position supports packaging, shipping, and, when invited, office operations, helping maintain an efficient, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout the holiday season. This position is seasonal and not to exceed 40 hours per week.

As a Seasonal Bakery Packaging Assistant, You Will:
- Instruct and supervise volunteers in the bakery packaging and shipping departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the packaging area at all times.
- Keep the dish area clean and ensure cleaning utensils are processed through the dishwasher as needed.
- Remove garbage throughout the shift as required.
- Transport dirty bakery linens to the laundry area at the end of each shift.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events.
- Leave all work areas clean, neat, and organized at the conclusion of each shift.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as needed.
Training and Professional Development

What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of equipment commonly used in a food service environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and other departments.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Leadership and volunteer supervision skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.

- Basic computer proficiency, including Excel and Outlook (office assignments).
Pay
- Seasonal Bakery Packaging Assistant: $19 per hour
Schedule
- Temporary holiday position.
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Schedule may vary based on operational and seasonal needs.
