    At Misericordia, Supported Employment DSPs in Community Day Services (CDS) do much more than provide transportation. You help participants increase their independence while they are engaged in community employment opportunities, interacting with employers and the public and supporting participants in other community-based opportunities.

    As a Supported Employment DSP, you will drive frequently with participants and represent Misericordia's values in the community. The ideal candidate is comfortable working without direct supervision and building relationships with employers and community members off campus.

    A minimum of one year of experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities is required.

    As a Supported Employment DSP, You Will:

    Training and Professional Development

    Supported Employment DSPs have access to professional training and development opportunities designed to strengthen their skills and support career growth throughout the organization.

    You will work with experienced professionals across Misericordia while gaining hands-on experience supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

    What We're Looking For

    • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and comfort driving vehicles of all sizes
    • Minimum of one year of experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities
    • HSD/GED required
    • Ability to work without direct supervision
    • Ability to interact with community members off campus with ease and confidence
    • A high degree of professionalism, and the ability to represent Misericordia and our values in the community
    • Ability to be self-directed with strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work with individuals with a variety of intellectual disabilities
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility
    • Ability to work effectively with CDS staff
    • Ability to meet the essential functions of the CDS DSP job description
    • Commitment to ensuring the rights and highest quality of life for residents

    Pay

    • Supported Employment DSP, CDS: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

    Schedule

    Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, based on the needs of the employment opportunity; hours could vary from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM.
