    Job description

At MNTN, we put our people first, full stop. This allows our company culture to be defined by our team members and their shared values, like trust, ambition, quality, radical honesty, and compassionate leadership. It’s why we all really love working for the Hardest Working Software in Television™ (and also why we were named one of Ad Age’s Best Places To Work in 2026.)

We pride ourselves on bringing unrivaled performance and simplicity to Connected TV advertising. Our self-serve technology makes running TV ads as easy as search and social, helping brands drive measurable conversions, revenue, site visits, and more. It’s what led MNTN to being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023. You can learn more about us and everything we do by visiting https://mountain.com/.

We’re committed to innovation that empowers, not replaces. At MNTN, AI is a tool for growth, enhancing efficiency while keeping a people-first approach. Our goal is to streamline workflows and drive new solutions—without compromising the human element that makes our company great.

So if wanting to do more, own more, and make a bigger impact comes naturally to you, then you may be the person we're looking for to join us in our next stage of growth.

We’re looking for a finance focused Senior Data Analyst to join our Business Analytics Engineering team. In this role, you’ll be working with cutting-edge online advertising technology and delivering top-notch data transformations, analytics, and visualizations. Our advertising spans billions of requests across thousands of dimension attributes handled by dozens of applications. Understanding the flow of data and integration points will be crucial to building representations ranging from high-level summary insights to low-level minutiae.
    What you’ll do
    • Become an expert on MNTN finance, accounting & rev-ops data pipelines to pull thoughtful insights around the wholistic state of MNTN performance.
    • Forecasting: Apply a deep understanding of revenue modeling using efficient code, resulting in clear and accurate forecasts to be used for analytical and operational reporting.
    • Reporting & Analytics: Conduct regular data analysis and present insightful reports to internal stakeholders. Deliver high-quality, repeatable dashboards and analytics solutions.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams throughout the company (including C-suite) to translate data findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
    What success looks like
    • Delivering accurate, high-quality analyses and reporting under tight deadlines, effectively balancing speed, precision, and competing priorities while maintaining rigorous QA practices and attention to detail.
    • Building scalable & sustainable SQL solutions that are well-documented, maintainable, and easily understood by teammates, while contributing positively to team culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, process improvement, workflow automation, and better analytical practices.
    • Partnering effectively across departments and leadership teams to deliver trusted analytical support, independently driving ambiguous requests through actionable recommendations while building stakeholder trust through accurate reporting, reliable data validation, and thoughtful communication.
    What you’ll bring
    • 5+ years experience in financial analytics or similar.
    • 2+ years experience in Tableau or a similar dashboarding tool.
    • Experience with complex financial & revenue data.
    • Extensive SQL experience with the ability to write scalable, maintainable queries.
    • Advanced Excel/spreadsheet and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to create data visualizations for use in communication with others through reports and dashboards.
    • A self-starter attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced but fun environment.
    • Ability to multi-task, be extremely detail-oriented, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment characterized by growth and change.
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and multiple priorities.
    • Bonus: Project management and organizational skills.
    • Bonus: 2+ years experience in martech or ad-tech with a demonstrable understanding of ad buying, attribution, and analytics.
