Under the direct supervision of the Commons Student Supervisor, the Commons Student Worker is to be responsible for assigned work in the Commons.
Job Characteristics and Responsibilities
- To be courteous, pleasant, and helpful to all of the guests of the Commons.
- Responsible to ensure that the Commons and all related areas are kept clean and sanitary according to the Chicago Health Department and Food Service standards at all times.
- Practice “clean as you go” in all areas at all times by keeping counters clean, floors swept, etc. throughout the individual worker’s shifts.
- To prepare and serve grill, sandwich, fountain, etc. orders.
- To keep food display shelves stocked.
- To operate and clean all equipment in the Commons.
- To keep all equipment and areas clean and neat.
- To assist with bussing.
- To perform related and special duties as assigned.
Applicants must be a full-time, on campus student at MBI or MTS.
