What You Will Be Doing:
Exterior maintenance workers perform a variety of tasks to ensure outdoor areas are safe,
functional, and visually appealing.
Essential Functions:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as removing snow, spreading salt, de-icing, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and planting flowers.
- Inspect and repair outdoor structures such as roof drains, stairs, and trash cans
- Remove litter and debris from outdoor areas
- Operate and maintain equipment such as forklift, ATV, snowplow, skid steer, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
- Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management
- Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months
- Keep outdoor areas clean and presentable for visitors and employees
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements:
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time.
- Experience operating and maintaining outdoor power tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold and inclement weather.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors regarding work assignments and progress.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if required, and willingness to work overtime when necessary to complete tasks on schedule.
