Part-Time Student Phone Operators (TEMPORARY JOB FOR SHARE)

Students are needed during Fall Share 2026, October 6-10. Students will be asked to work shifts totaling 4 hours each day, Wednesday through Friday and a 3-hour shift on Saturday morning. Shifts are 5am – 9am and 2pm – 6pm from Wednesday through Friday and 6am-9am and 9am-12pm on Saturday. Ideally, students will work 20 hours that week, working a 4-hour shift each day of Share.

Moody Radio needs your help to answer phones during their Fall Share radio campaign. They are expecting around 5000 phone calls this week. As a phone operator serving as part of the team, you will be helping by answering phone calls and taking donations from listeners to Moody Radio who call in.

Phone Data Entry operators will take calls October 6-10, Tuesday through Saturday on the 3rd floor of the Chapman Center, where a student call center will be set up. There will also be a mandatory paid training session scheduled for the week prior with multiple slots available for students’ convenience including Saturday.

Suited for the Task? Here are the qualifications:

• Comfortable talking on the phone while being courteous and polite, and able to speak with a clear, understandable voice.
• Manual dexterity to work with a standard computer mouse and keyboard.
• Able to talk to the caller and type data into the computer at the same time.
• Comfortable with software on Microsoft Windows computers (e-mailing and Web browsing demonstrates sufficient computer experience).
• Hear well in a noisy environment.
• Eyesight that allows you to work at a computer screen at a standard resolution.
• Semester/Break hiring for: Fall Semester – October 6-10.  This is a temporary position.
