About the Role

MSS Security is seeking dedicated Casual Security Officers to join our team across hospital sites located in Melbourne’s CBD.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, visitors and contractors. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor security systems, manage access control and respond professionally to security incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• • Patrol and monitor hospital premises to identify and respond to security risks.
  • Monitor CCTV and security systems and respond promptly to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
  • Manage access control and identification verification across hospital areas.
  • Respond to incidents involving patients, visitors, staff and contractors in a calm and professional manner.
  • Assist with managing disputes and challenging situations while maintaining a professional approach.
  • Liaise with hospital staff, emergency services and Victoria Police when required.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and maintain appropriate security documentation.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to staff, patients and visitors.
    

Skills & Experience

• • Full Australian Working Rights.
  • Valid Victorian Security Licence.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Availability to work a 24/7 rotational roster.
  • Previous security experience required.
  • Hospital or healthcare security experience is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to incidents and challenging situations.
