Lead a leading listed company secretarial practice while continuing to work closely with boards and senior executives.
MUFG Corporate Markets is seeking an experienced company secretary and governance professional to lead our Listed Practice in Australia.
This is an opportunity to combine hands-on listed company secretarial work with people leadership, client advisory and practice growth. You'll manage your own portfolio of listed clients, act as their trusted senior company secretary and lead a team of experienced governance professionals.
Working closely with boards, directors, executives and advisers, you'll provide practical governance advice across ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure, board processes and regulatory requirements, while helping shape the future direction of our Listed Practice.
You'll also play an important role in developing our people, strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow and enhance our services.
About the Role
At the heart of this role is the opportunity to own a portfolio of listed clients and act as their senior company secretary and trusted governance adviser.
You'll work directly with boards and executive teams, providing practical advice on ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you'll lead and develop a team of company secretarial and governance professionals, helping to build capability, manage workflow and maintain a consistently high standard of client service.
You'll also contribute to the growth and development of the Listed Practice, working with clients and market contacts to identify opportunities and strengthen our service offering.
There may also be opportunities to contribute to the continued growth of our Directorships practice.

About You
We're looking for an experienced company secretary or governance professional with strong listed company experience and the confidence to advise boards and senior executives.
You may currently be working as a:
You don't necessarily need to have held a Head of Practice title previously. We're interested in professionals who have the technical expertise, commercial judgement and leadership capability to take the next step into a broader practice leadership role.
You'll bring:
Membership of the Governance Institute of Australia, or an equivalent professional body, will be highly regarded.
