Disability Support Worker

About the Role
Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability across a range of different support environments. In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, and quality of life for the people we support. Depending on the service and client’s needs, you may be required to implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and support individuals with complex behaviours.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
• Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health needs
• Supporting customers to safely use mobility aids, including hoists and wheelchairs
• Encouraging social inclusion through community participation
• Maintaining accurate documentation and completing administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with complex behaviours and implementing PBS plans (valued but not required)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or health needs (valued but not required)
• Minimum requirement of a Certificate III in Individual Support or 3 months of relevant support experience
• Ability to complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately

Requirements

• Current Driver Licence (P2 minimum)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
