Medical Receptionist

headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing services across Australia, in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote areas, supporting young people and family to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will provide professional, confidential reception and administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre. Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, you will be the first point of contact for young people, their families and supporters, helping to create an accessible, youth-friendly and welcoming environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome young people, families, and visitors as the first point of contact while delivering professional, confidential service.
• Manage sensitive information and client interactions with accuracy, discretion, and respect.
• Handle reception tasks including calls, appointment bookings, record updates, and maintaining secure filing systems.
• Support centre operations by coordinating mail, managing supplies, maintaining organised workspaces, and improving admin processes. 
• Provide daily administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient client care.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma Administration or relevant experience within the healthcare industry 
• Current Driver Licence
• Current Blue Card
• Current National Police Check
