Laboratory Sanitation Technician

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing basic assistance to the operations of the laboratory washing containers used in the process of testing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

● Wash containers used in analysis.

● Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink.

● Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc using cleaning solvents.

● Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials.

● Organize laboratory glassware and plastics.

● Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave.

● Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.

● This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system.

● Other related duties as assigned.

● At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.

Communication

● Direct Supervisor: Regularly communicates for guidance, performance feedback, and project updates.

● Team Members: Collaborates with team members to ensure effective execution of tasks, exchange of information, and teamwork in daily operations.
