What You’ll Be Doing
The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for greeting/check-in in patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and reception support for the clinic.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Check patients in and obtain patient information utilizing the web-based on-site
- Schedule appointments and follow-up with appointments as needed
- Collect and post proper patient payment, including print appropriate receipts
- Perform insurance eligibility checks prior to patient appointments
- Answer all phone calls timely, and in a professional and courteous manner
- Route calls and messages appropriately
- Effectively communicate with all staff and providers amongst all clinics
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in the medical field, preferred
- Excellent PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced clinic setting and maintain a passion to help those in need
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required
- Work independently, requiring minimal or no oversight and guidance
