WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Frame, Door, & Hardware Estimator, you'll play a critical role in supporting commercial construction projects by delivering accurate estimates, identifying solutions, and collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

THE NITTY GRITTY

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to perform accurate job takeoffs
• Prepare detailed estimates and assign appropriate product costs and selling prices
• Deliver complete and accurate quotes for small and medium sized projects within established timelines
• Assist in preparing detailed submittals for awarded projects
• Analyze project requirements and identify key variables impacting costs and project execution
• Utilize software tools for estimating analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Support customers and the sales team by identifying and resolving project challenges
• Estimate Division 8 commercial projects, including doors, frames, and hardware
• Resolve discrepancies between blueprints and specifications
• Detail awarded projects to ensure a smooth transition to project execution
• Complete and maintain required DHT training and certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation & a clean driving record

· 3-5 years’ experience working in the Commercial Door & Hardware Industry

· Experience in inside sales; commercial hardware sales experience, preferred

· Knowledge of architectural hardware, strongly preferred

o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Blue Beam, and Procore. Experience with Comsense, is a plus

· Experience estimating commercial Division 8 projects, including doors, frames, and hardware

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents

· Previous construction industry experience, preferred

· Previous Project Management experience, preferred

o The ideal candidate could fill in as an Assistant Project Manager

· Familiarity with building products and the building materials industry, preferred

· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements

· DHT certified, strongly preferred

· Willingness to work beyond standard working hours to fulfill customer requests

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates primarily in an office setting, with potential for occasional remote work. Employees regularly use computers, phones, and other standard office equipment while collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and occasional movement throughout the office.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with schedule flexibility.
