Staff Physical Therapist

Every patient who walks through our doors is chasing something — climbing stairs again, playing with grandkids, getting back to work. As a Staff Physical Therapist, you're the person who makes that comeback possible. You'll evaluate, design, and lead individualized care plans, then get to watch your patients hit goals you helped them believe in.

• Evaluate patients and build individualized care plans.

• Administer treatments safely, explaining each step to the patient.

• Write timely, accurate evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Maintain equipment and follow infection-control precautions.

• Keep the referring physician and care team in the loop on patient progress.

• Maintain a caseload of inpatients and/or outpatients as assigned.

• Cover newly admitted nursing home residents per NYS regulation, on a rotating basis.

• Uphold patient confidentiality at every step.

This role is classified as Medium Work: lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent carrying up to 25 lbs, and close visual attention roughly half the day. Reasonable accommodations are available.

• A Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (Master's degree a plus).

• A current New York State Physical Therapist License.

• Working knowledge of NY State and federal PT regulations.

• Sharp clinical judgment — the ability to read a situation, adapt a treatment plan, and know when something needs a second look.

• Clear communication skills, written and verbal, for charting, patient education, and physician updates.

• Physical stamina: this is active, on-your-feet work that includes lifting, transferring, and hands-on treatment.
