    Job description

    NCUS TEC is seeking qualified and student-focused General Education Instructors to teach courses within the proposed Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Applied Automation Technology program. General Education Instructors provide classroom-based instruction that supports students’ academic, professional, and technical development within advanced manufacturing and applied automation environments. Instruction is delivered in person at the Columbus campus.

    Faculty assignments are based upon the instructor’s documented educational background, professional experience, and demonstrated subject matter expertise. Courses may include: MATH-101 College Algebra SCI-101 Environmental Science SCI-201 College Physics ENG-101 Public Speaking ENG-201 Workforce Literacy General Education Instructors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining accurate academic records, supporting curriculum development and revision activities, and ensuring instructional practices align with institutional policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver effective in-person classroom instruction in assigned general education courses.
    • Prepare and maintain course syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with approved curriculum objectives.
    • Maintain instructional quality and consistency in accordance with NCUS TEC policies and procedures.
    • Facilitate student learning using appropriate instructional methodologies and classroom management techniques.
    • Evaluate student academic performance and maintain accurate attendance, grading, and academic records.
    • Submit grades, attendance, and required documentation within established timelines.
    • Participate in curriculum review, course revision, and continuous improvement activities to ensure course relevance and effectiveness.
    • Ensure instructional materials remain current and appropriate for occupational associate degree-level education.
    • Support the integration of communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and applied academic skills within career-focused learning environments.
    • Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions with students, staff, and administrators.
    • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and institutional initiatives as assigned.
    • Maintain compliance with institutional policies and applicable accreditation and regulatory standards.
