Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns.
- Assist with preparation of annual FBAR reporting.
- Review and assist (where necessary) in the state apportionment calculations.
- Prepare and review quarterly estimates and annual extensions.
- Review, research and respond to various tax notices.
- Assist with various tax projects.
- Prepare annual tax provisions for financial statement audit.
- Review and assist in the preparation of annual property tax returns and payments.
- Assist with sales tax as needed for internal consultations and third-party preparer.
- Review and assist in the preparation of annual reports to various states.
- Prepare and submit census report filings.
- Assist with sales and property tax audits.
- Work with other departments to assist with business license filings, gross receipts tax return data and other items upon request.
- Maintain tax records and exemption certificates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience & Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA license preferable but not required.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in tax return preparation (preparation of corporate returns is a plus)
- Understanding and working knowledge of tax preparation and how it relates to GAAP accounting.
- High proficiency in excel.
- Prior experience with Corptax tax preparation software is a plus but not required.
- Must have strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve and make reasonable decisions based on company policies and practices.
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems proactively and independently.
