Research Assistant - Student Worker

: $17.00 - $22.00

Position Description

The Student Research Assistant is a temporary position funded by a FY27 SOPSS Seed Grant and will support a faculty-led research project examining the lived experiences of women of color Marriage and Family Therapists. The position will not exceed 25 hours in total. Unless otherwise stated or as prescribed by law, National University does not provide student employees with benefits, including accrued sick and vacation, health and life insurance, or other benefits. • Students enrolled and attending courses
• Undergraduate and graduate students in any school or program
• Full-time or part-time students

The Student Research Assistant will support a faculty-led research project examining the lived experiences of women of color Marriage and Family Therapists. Under the direction of the Principal Investigators and research team, responsibilities may include:

• Assist with literature reviews and organization of scholarly sources.
• Support participant recruitment, screening, and interview scheduling.
• Assist with transcription, de-identification, and secure data organization.
• Support qualitative data coding and identification of emerging themes.
• Maintain research logs, documentation, and project materials.
• Participate in research team meetings and contribute to project activities.
• Assist with research summaries, presentations, and scholarly materials.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow IRB, research ethics, data-security, and University requirements.
• Complete required research and confidentiality training.
• Perform other research-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
