    Full-time | 4–5 day work weeks | Rotating weekends

    North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative, multi-doctor veterinary team in Cornelius, NC.

    We are open to RVT, CVT, and LVT candidates, depending on state credentials and experience. We are looking for a technician with 2-4+ years of veterinary hospital experience who is passionate about patient care and interested in continuing to develop their clinical and leadership skills.

    Located beside Lake Norman, our hospital is approximately 20 minutes from uptown Charlotte and offers easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Carolina coast.

    What you'll do

    • Provide high-quality nursing care and treatment for veterinary patients
    • Work alongside veterinarians to support appointments, procedures, surgery, and hospitalized patients
    • Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients
    • Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments
    • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
    • Educate clients on medications, treatments, follow-up care, and general wellness
    • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets' care
    • Support veterinary assistants through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on training
    • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
    • Follow Fear Free handling and patient care techniques
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
    • Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service team members

    What we're looking for

    • RVT, CVT, or LVT credential preferred
    • 2-4+ years of veterinary hospital experience
    • Strong clinical and patient-care skills
    • Experience with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, or hospitalized patients is a plus
    • Interest in mentoring and supporting veterinary assistants and fellow technicians
    • Strong communication and client education skills
    • Compassionate approach to patients and their owners
    • Commitment to Fear Free handling and patient care
    • Dependable, collaborative, and team-oriented approach
    • Willingness to continue learning and developing new veterinary skills
