You will apply a data-driven approach to detect market manipulation and quality-of-execution issues, propose system tuning to reduce false positives, and lead investigations. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring less experienced staff, driving strategic regulatory projects, and fostering strong collaboration between Front Office, IT, and local/global Compliance teams.

    • Perform relevant investigatory activities and escalate to local Compliance teams or to the global CIB Compliance team as necessary;
    • Master the system configuration options in order to suggest changes to parameters in order to enhance the detection capabilities and to obtain more pertinent alerts;
    • Configure and test the surveillance system parameters with Head Office compliance colleagues;
    • Actively engage in projects related to the surveillance strategy;
    • Enhance key aspects of the surveillance program including threshold refinement, governance, data analytics and management information;
    • Optimize operational processes linked to alert generation, analysis, escalation and decisioning of surveillance alerts;
    • Partner with Compliance and IT resources to aide Natixis’ transition from existing surveillance systems to new generation systems;
    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Fluency in English is mandatory (written and spoken) for daily interaction with global teams and Head Office.
    • Regulations: Deep knowledge of MiFID, EMIR, DFA, and MAR.
    • Products & Flows: Strong expertise in Market Finance Products (Equities, Derivatives) and Front-to-Post-Trade flows.
    • Systems & Tools: Proficiency in Bloomberg, PowerBI, and systems like Sophis, Summit, or Murex.
    • Senior Capabilities:
      • High autonomy in decision-making and handling complex/ambiguous situations.
      • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and project partners.
      • Experience mentoring others and driving regulatory projects.
