We’re hiring super bright engineers to join our Chennai team as we transform how the things we eat, wear, and play with are transported worldwide. In this position, you will have an opportunity to make major contributions to our next generation transportation and logistics software for the marine industry. You will work together with colleagues to define system requirements and build state-of-the-art software and will collaborate with the existing QA Team to assist the larger community of Developers, Quality Engineers, and Product Managers in delivering high quality, innovative applications.

You must be a quick learner, have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain ownership of large engineering projects through their lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support. This position has unique opportunities for growth in both the functional and technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day cloud environment operations and monitoring under supervision.
• Support patch management activities for Windows, Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu), and related systems.
• Assist with basic VMware environment tasks (e.g., VM health checks, snapshot management, routine maintenance).
• Support installation and basic upkeep of endpoint security tools such as EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solutions.
• Assist in building and maintaining basic automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for routine operational tasks.
• Help maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Raise and track tickets/incidents through the team's ITSM tool, and follow escalation procedures.
• Participate in training sessions and shadow senior engineers to build hands-on operational knowledge.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing (final year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of operating systems — Windows and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) fundamentals.
• Basic awareness of cloud computing concepts (any provider — AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, especially in a cloud context is a plus
• Basic understanding of databases (any of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting basics (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of virtualization concepts (VMware) is a plus, not mandatory.
• Awareness of fundamental IT security concepts (patching, antivirus/EDR) is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn, good communication skills, and ability to follow structured processes.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail.
