    Job description

    The Communications Manager will support external communications across Universal Destinations & Experiences Global Consumer Products & Games business. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Communications, this role will develop and execute strategic communications campaigns that elevate franchise storytelling, business milestones, consumer products, games, partnerships, retail, and fan engagement initiatives.

    The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with experience in media relations, integrated communications, event support, and cross-functional collaboration.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute communications strategies and PR campaigns that support franchise growth and consumer products and games initiatives.
    • Lead communications planning for assigned franchises, products, and partnerships, ensuring communications initiatives align with business priorities and growth objectives.
    • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders across franchise, studio, theme parks, licensing, games, retail and events to execute integrated communications campaigns that support business objectives.
    • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to business stakeholders and cross-functional partners, providing strategic counsel and recommendations.
    • Foster cross-divisional communications opportunities across NBCUniversal and Universal Destinations & Experiences.
    • Identify proactive storytelling opportunities that drive awareness for franchises, partnerships, consumer products and games, retail, and fan experiences.
    • Craft brand, and product messaging, including press releases, media pitches, talking points, and communications briefs.
    • Curate and activate creator and influencer partnerships, driving measurable results against communications and business KPIs.
    • Analyze campaign performance and media results, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future communications strategies.
    • Manage relationships with entertainment, lifestyle, trade, and general consumer media.
    • Manage external PR agencies and vendors to ensure effective campaign execution.
    • Support consumer products and games portfolio at press events, fan activations, premieres, screenings, and licensing trade shows.
    • Independently manage multiple communications workstreams, establishing priorities and making recommendations that support business objectives.
    • Maintain media and influencer lists and oversee coverage tracking and reporting.
    • Travel as needed.

    Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 (bonus eligible)

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5+ years of public relations and communications experience, preferably within licensing, entertainment, media, or related industries.
    • Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications campaigns.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Keynote.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Travel may be required
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the needs of the team
    • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
