    Job description

    Position Title: Paralegal
    Location: Taguig City, Metro Manila – 2 days per week onsite
    Role Purpose
    You will work within the Group Legal team and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, sales and sales operations, to ensure that contracts are put in place efficiently to support commercial arrangements while appropriately managing legal risk. This position performs a key function within the business: you will take ownership of core legal processes and act as a trusted point of contact for routine legal, contractual and policy-related matters. You will support the full breadth of the Group Legal team’s work, including contract management, policy maintenance, legal research and legal operations, with appropriate guidance and supervision from the solicitors in the team where required.
    As a Paralegal in the Group Legal team, you will support the business across a wide range of legal, governance and operational activities, taking ownership of process-driven workstreams and acting as a trusted point of contact for routine legal matters under appropriate supervision from senior team members.

    Summary
    • Proactively managing the team’s inboxes and monitoring the associated ticketing system, ensuring effective triage, prioritisation and timely resolution of queries.
    • Maintaining and continually improving the team’s SharePoint site, precedents database and legal know-how resources.
    • Reviewing, negotiating (within agreed parameters) and processing NDAs and other standard-form, low-risk agreements.
    • Reviewing and coordinating amendments to standard terms and conditions, identifying deviations and escalating where appropriate.
    • Supporting contract lifecycle management processes, including document control, execution and record-keeping.
    • Assisting with the drafting, review and ongoing maintenance of internal policies, including coordinating updates in response to regulatory or business change.
    • Conducting legal and regulatory research and producing clear, commercially focused summaries and briefing notes for the wider team.
    • Acting as a key contact for the business on routine queries relating to contracting processes, documentation and internal policies.
    • Supporting governance activities and the company secretarial function, including coordinating approvals, filings and execution of documents.
    • Supporting legal compliance processes, including tracking obligations and supporting internal reporting requirements.
    • Supporting the management of external law firm relationships and spend, including tracking budgets, invoices and engagements.
    • Contributing to legal operations initiatives, including process improvements, workflow optimisation and reporting.

    What we are looking for:
    • Previous experience working as a paralegal in a law firm, in house legal team or similar role
    • Creating and maintaining good client relations, both internal and external
    • Ensuring meticulous attention to detail
    • Knowledge or experience of contractual terms
    • Managing efficient administration.
    • Working effectively with colleagues from different business areas and different jurisdictions.

    Behaviour:
    • Enjoys working in an established legal team of friendly, collaborative lawyers and legal professionals across multiple jurisdictions;
    • Motivated to take ownership of core legal processes and act as a trusted point of contact for routine legal and policy-related queries;
    • Interested in working with legal and business colleagues across the globe in a dynamic, in-house environment;
    • Naturally curious and enjoy conducting legal and regulatory research and contributing to policy development and updates;
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced business in a thriving industry and continuously improving processes and ways of working;
    • Value flexible working – the team currently works on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
