The Manager – Commissioning & Execution will work as part of the Commissioning Execution Office, supporting the integrated master schedule, critical-path management, readiness activities, executive reporting and go-live preparation across the satellite clinic and main hospital. The role will work closely with clinical, nursing, technology, facilities, medical equipment, regulatory, people, finance and non-hospital site teams to maintain visibility of progress, identify dependencies and risks early, and drive timely closure of actions.
Responsibilities
- Support the operating model of the Commissioning Execution Office, including governance meetings, standard templates, status reporting and documentation.
- Support maintenance of the integrated master schedule for the satellite clinic and main hospital, including milestones, owners and dependencies.
- Track workstream plans and identify cross-workstream dependencies where a delay may affect overall readiness.
- Support end-to-end commissioning activities for the satellite clinic covering site and facility readiness, licensing, staffing, systems, go-live and stabilization.
- Support the use of the satellite clinic as a proving ground for readiness gates, clinical and operational workflows and technology.
- Track critical-path activities across facility handover, medical equipment procurement and installation, IT infrastructure and clinical systems, workforce recruitment and onboarding, clinical service setup and regulatory licensing.
- Support the readiness framework, including readiness gates, criteria and evidence requirements for departments and service lines.
- Coordinate simulations, day-in-the-life exercises, mock patient journeys and dress rehearsals.
- Maintain visibility of risks, issues, dependencies and actions and ensure that each action has an owner and target date.
- Support preparation of executive-grade reporting covering critical-path health, readiness, top risks and decisions required.
- Maintain dashboards and other reporting tools that make progress and gaps visible.
- Support tracking of training completion, competency readiness and adoption risks.
- Support go-live command center activities, including daily huddles, escalation and real-time performance monitoring.
- Support hypercare activities, transition to line leadership and capture of lessons learned.
- Contribute to the development of a reusable playbook for future service launches and sites.
- Any other related task assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, healthcare administration, business, medicine or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH or equivalent) preferred.
- 6 – 7 years of experience in program management, hospital operations or transformation, preferably involving large, multi-workstream or multi-site programs.
- Experience with hospital commissioning, greenfield facility openings, major service launches or comparable large-scale go-lives is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare provider experience is strongly preferred. Candidates from management consulting, large capital projects or other complex, regulated environments with meaningful healthcare exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working across teams including clinical, nursing, technology, facilities, supply chain, people, finance and regulatory functions.
- Experience with scheduling and program tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet or equivalent, Excel and dashboarding tools such as Power BI.
- Strong written and visual communication skills, including the ability to present complex program information clearly.
- Systems thinker with the ability to understand how facilities, equipment, technology, people and processes fit together.
- Ability to influence and drive action through credibility, relationships and evidence.
- Strong follow-through, with a focus on ownership, deadlines and closure.
