#EG Data Analyst (1 year contract)

NCS is seeking a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that enable better business decisions and operational outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, project managers, and solution architects to gather requirements, analyze data, build dashboards, and deliver data-driven recommendations.

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.

• Profile, cleanse, validate, and interpret structured and unstructured datasets.

• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business monitoring and decision-making.

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.

• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

• Define and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs.

• Collaborate with data engineers to improve data pipelines and data availability.

• Support UAT, data validation, and reconciliation activities.

• Prepare presentations and executive reports for management and clients.

• Document business logic, data definitions, and analytical processes.

Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 2 – 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles.

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.

• Good understanding of data modelling, KPIs, and reporting methodologies.

• Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to convert business requirements into analytical solutions.

Preferred

• Experience with Python, R, or Spark for data analysis and automation.

• Experience working in Singapore Government, public sector, banking, or regulated industries.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCC environments.

• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and analytics lifecycle. Experience of predictive analytics.

• Experience with Agile project delivery.

Analytics & Reporting

• Proficient with SQL

• Proficient with at least one of prominent BI tools in the market, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Tableau, MicroStrategy

Data Platforms

• SQL Server

• Databricks, Snowflake, Oracle or PostgreSQL

Programming

• Python, R (optional)

• Experience of using AI to drive productivity in software development lifecycle
