JOB DETAILS:
Location: Greenville, MI
Position: Quality Engineer
Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70-85,000
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for analyzing engineering specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop and install quality control methods, practices and procedures for a designated area or operation.
- Recommends dimensions and characteristics to be inspected and techniques to be followed.
- Participates in developing and maintaining ISO and QS 9000 policies and procedures.
- Plays an integral part within the cutting edge, quality manufacturing training program.
- Work with floor supervisors and operators to ensure good quality products are produced and shipped to the customer on time.
- Utilizes established problem solving techniques to resolve quality concerns and improve processes. Works with external and internal diverse customer base.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required
- 3-5 years of experience in a automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment preferred
- Gage R&R experience and calibration a plus
- Ability to perform statistical evaluations using Statgraphics, Minitab or related application
- Basic understanding of statistics required
- Problem solving skills and interpersonal skills required
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (FMEA's, PPAP's, TS16949, Ford Q1, DCX, GM, etc.)
- Developed communication skills with all levels of management
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work any shift or overtime if required
